Lyndsie Ann Jones of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at the age of 34. She was born September 29, 1989, in Newport, the daughter of Mike Jones and Tracy (Burgin) Jones.
Lyndsie graduated from Newport High School in 2007 and worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant at St. Michaels Healthcare and Jackson County Home Health. She had a passion for painting, writing poetry and scripture. Lyndsie was fond of nature and animals, and her favorite pastime was spending time on her family farm. Above all, she cherished her family with all her heart.
She was preceded in death by one son, Brantley Gauge Roberts; her maternal grandfather, John Burgin; and her paternal grandparents, Lewis and Mary Lee Jones.
Lyndsie is survived by one daughter, Bayleigh Smith of Newport; her father, Mike Jones of Newport; her mother, Tracy (Burgin) Jones of Newport; one brother, Hunter Jones and wife, Kelsie of Thida; one niece, Preslee Jones; her maternal grandmother, Nina Wooten of Newport; one aunt, Lisa Jones of Panama City, Florida; two uncles, Russell Burgin and wife, Brenda, of Newport, and Greg Burgin and wife, Lynn, of Newport; her dog, Tip; many cousins and a host of friends.
Friends may visit at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 14, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Graveside services are at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Brown’s Chapel Cemetery at Union Hill.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Hunter Jones, Greg Burgin, Russell Burgin, Hayden Metzger, Richie Simmons, William Hawkins, and Tadpole Franks.
