Wyvon (Chumley) Mabry Taylor of Searcy, Arkansas, formerly of Beedeville, departed this life on Friday, May 10, 2024, at the age of 91. She was born June 2, 1932, in White County, the daughter of Kinder and Retha (Brumley) Chumley.
Mrs. Taylor graduated from Central High School in Judsonia and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Arkansas State University. She was a beloved school teacher for 28 years at the Beedeville School District before finishing her career at McCrory, where she retired following a 35-year teaching career.
Mrs. Taylor loved animals, volunteering her time at Paw’s Inn Thrift Store. She was an avid reader, who enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening.
She was a member of the Beedeville Church of Christ.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Malcolm Mabry; her second husband, Bobby Franklin Taylor; one brother, Rudolph Chumley; one sister, Audie Scroggins; and her parents.
She is survived by one son, Carl Williams of Crum, Texas; one daughter, Ginger Mabry Rush of Raleigh, North Carolina; three step-sons, Bill Taylor of Waller, Texas, Bob Taylor of Clearwater, Florida, and David Taylor of Oklahoma; one step-daughter, Jamie Williams of Largo, Florida; her sister-in-law, Sammie Feagin; many nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren; and a host of former students who loved her.
Friends may visit the funeral home, Tuesday, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Beedeville Church of Christ, with interment in Eightmile Cemetery.
