Michael Keith Hogan, 59, of Weldon, Arkansas spread his wings on May 15, 2024.  He was born November 13, 1964, on Fort Hood Texas Army base to Harold and Hazel (Hardaway) Hogan.

Hogan truly lived life to the fullest through the simple pleasures; hanging with friends and family, making memories with his children and grandchildren, and beating everyone in a game of chess.  He loved to spend time learning more about his ancestor’s heritage.  The tools they made by hand to provide for their families, the love of each and every member of the tribe and of course the repeat teepee huddles with the peace pipe.  He would hunt arrowheads for days if you let him.  He was a sucker for anything with open skies and wind in his face, topless Jeep rides, his motorcycles or three wheelers, just about anything that made his soul encounter the freedom of an eagle.  He was always a caring man; he would give you his last dollar if you needed it.  He was a selfless man who had a heart of gold.  While we lost our most loved dad, many lost a friend and a loved one.  There was so much more to him than just a dad, though to us that was his greatest role, he was a brother, cousin, and friend to many.

Hogan was preceded in death by his father, Harold; mother, Hazel; son, Michael, and uncle, Joe.

He is survived by his children, Schylar (Hanna) Woodruff, Dominique (Nick) Pettit, Dekoda (Megan) Hogan; his brother, Paul (Fonda) Hogan; his cousin, Cindy Hogan, and his most precious grandchildren, Leigha, Hayleigh, Kash, Karson, Babette Woodruff, and Merce Woodruff.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Mark Ellis, Greg Polston, Jimmy Hicks, Jason Runyon, Larry Holleman, and Kenny Fuller.  Honorary pallbearers are Nick Pettit, Donnie Dewitt, Michael Hardin, and Steve Fuller.

Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation will be from 10:00 until service time.
