Obituary: Derick Womble

Derick Womble, 56, departed this life Friday, June 7, 2024, at Baptist Desoto Hospital, in Southhaven Mississippi. He was born in Wynne, Arkansas on October 13, 1967, the son of Sanford Womble Sr. and Patsy (Bramlett) Womble. Derick was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Sandy Womble Jr., one sister Tracy Womble and one son-in-law, Nicholas Franks Derick was a dock operator for Valero Gas Refinery for twenty-five years and was a Christian. He married Stacy (Garner) Womble on October 15, 2015, and they have enjoyed nine years together. He enjoyed playing golf, going to the beach, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife Stacy of the home in Coldwater, Mississippi, and three sons, Logan Womble of Hernado, Mississippi, Garner Sinquefield of Arkbutla, Mississippi, and Travis Sinquefield of San Diego, California. Two daughters Taylor Franks of Potts Camp Mississippi, and Madison (Russell) Royston of Hernado, Mississippi, two sisters: Sherry Holtom of Pangburn, Arkansas and Sandra (Worthy) Gray of Mobile, Alabama. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Aria Royston and Ayla Royston. Visitation will be on Thursday ~ June 13, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. until Service Time. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 A. M. at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Danny Bell conducting the service. These men will serve as Active Pallbearers: Kevin McIllwain, Keith McIllwain, Jared Woolfork, Chris White, Danny Smith and Gene (Geno) White. The interment will be in Fisher Cemetery.
