Danny Joe Duvall, 66, of Tuckerman, Arkansas, passed away at his home on June 14. He was born October 1, 1957, in Newport, Arkansas, to Othel Duvall and Junia (Tomlinson) Duvall.
Danny was a graduate of Tuckerman High School, class of 1975. He spent many years in construction before finding his passion in bartending. He loved music, sports (especially the Cardinals and Razorbacks), coin collecting, and reading, but above all else he loved his family and friends. His fondest times were spent spoiling his nieces and nephews and great-nephews. They all loved spending time with Uncle Danny. A dedicated music connoisseur, Danny collected albums from multiple genres, eras, and artists, but his favorite band was always the Beatles and his favorite song was “Let It Be.” He shared his love of music with everyone. All you had to do was comment that you liked a particular song, and the next time you saw him he would hand you a copy of the cassette or CD with the titles of the songs meticulously written out in his beautiful handwriting.
Danny found a way to make everybody with whom he came into contact feel special and loved. He listened closely to people and took to heart their lives. He always remembered people’s names and family members and their accomplishments and struggles. He was kind, generous, compassionate, giving, and forgiving. He impacted a lot of lives, and Danny’s passing leaves a hole in all our hearts. Danny was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Larry; a cousin, Randy Tomlinson; and good friends Buddy Elliott and Henry Brock.
He is survived by brothers James (Sharon) Duvall of Tuckerman, and Arthur (Mary) Duvall of Tuckerman; sisters Donna Duvall of Boulder, Colorado, and Sandy (David) Black of Tuckerman; nephews Ken (Leah) Duvall, Chris (Anni) Duvall, Hunter Black, and Tyler Black; nieces Stacy (Ronnie) Bright, Misty Currier, and Kelsey Black; seven great nieces/nephews; and three great-great nephews. He is also survived by three loving aunts, Sis Sullins, Kaye Birdsong, and Bennie Barker, as well as his close cousin Marsha Ring and lifelong friend Rhea Dennis.
Visitation will be Monday, June 17, from 5:00–7:00 at Dillinger’s Funeral Home Chapel, with the funeral services on Tuesday, June 18, at 10:00 at Dillinger’s. Interment will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Tuckerman.
