Erma Faye (Rackley) Baker, 63, of Locust Grove, AR, died on Monday, June 10, 2024. Faye was born on April 22, 1961, in Heber Springs, AR, to the late Leon David Rackley and Erma Dean (McCarty) Rackley. She was of Baptist faith.  Faye worked in the healthcare field for most of her life. She impacted so many people in her lifetime and throughout her career. She served as a phlebotomist for several years until she transitioned to a supervisor over housekeeping at Baptist Health in Heber Springs close to 15 years ago. Faye considered her job more than a vocation. She loved to serve others and valued her coworkers as more than just work affiliates; she considered them her “work family”.  Faye was very artistic, whether she was making elaborate cakes, taking beautiful photographs, crocheting and making quilts, drawing, or building floral arrangements, Faye loved to express herself through many different types of art. She had many hobbies and passions, but more than anything, Faye valued her family above all else. Anything she did, she preferred to be doing it with her family. Faye was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She will be deeply missed and forever loved by those who were blessed to know her.

Faye is preceded in death by both of her parents; her brother, Brian Rackley; and her sister, Kay Rackley. She is survived by her loving husband of more than 44 years, Harold Dee Baker, of the home; her two sons, Heath Baker (Shawna), of Heber Springs, AR, and Joshua Baker (Rhonda), of Clinton, AR; her daughter, Amanda Smith (Robert), of Mt. View; her two brothers, J.L. Rackley (Sheila), of Mt. View, and Don Rackley (Allene), of Mt. View; her sister, Pam Partee (Jerry), of Mt. View; 11 grandchildren, Miles Cameron Baker, Harley Cheyenne Baker, Michael Creed Baker, Heath Garrett Baker, Destiny Bittle (Danny), Kaylee Dodson (Brennan), Cobin Baker, Daylon Baker, Emmit Leslie Strauser, Brody Leon Strauser, and Elijah Dewayne Strauser; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
