Danny Reed Talley, 69, of Floral, departed this life on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in Little Rock. He was born on December 9, 1954, in Memphis, Tennessee to Boyd Reed Talley and Reda Blackwell Rhodes.
During his working years, Danny was a truck driver in the trucking business. His family will remember him as one of the most fun people they knew. He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them, especially the “grands”. He also will be remembered watching westerns such as Gunsmoke and having family time down at the creek.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Reda Rhodes, of Batesville; his sons, Danny (Madeline) Talley, of Batesville, Matthew Talley, of Floral, Joseph (Makenzie) Talley, of Drasco, and Ben Whitley, of Rosie; his daughter, Michelle Whitney, of Oil Trough; a brother, Gary (Deborah) Talley, of Marion; a sister, Cindy (Steve) Clark, of Batesville; twelve grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Danny is preceded in death by his father, brothers, Dayton and Larry Talley, and a sister, Jimmilou Strange.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service with Bro. Dale Duke is officiating.
Burial will follow the service in the Old Union Cemetery in Floral.
A time of visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue until service time.
