Margie Carol (Turner) Honey of Newport, Arkansas departed this life on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at the age of 71. She was born June 16, 1953, the daughter of Wesley and Lucille (Winfrey) Turner.
Mrs. Honey graduated from Newport High School and then attended Arkansas State University- Newport. She managed Jordan’s Kwik Stop for over twenty years until her retirement. She was a member of Sandhill Church of Christ.
Mrs. Honey enjoyed gardening, quilting, and crocheting. She loved to cook. Mrs. Honey’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Honey is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Dale Honey; a brother, Gerald Daniel Turner; and her parents.
She is survived by her sons, Jeremy “Bucky” Tubbs, of Newport, Roger Honey and wife, Becky, of Pocahontas, and David Honey and wife, Mindy, of Hollister, Missouri; her daughter, Tammy Tubbs, of Newport; one sister, Sharon Reynolds, of Newport; eleven grandchildren, Kevin, Melissa, Abigail, Destiny, Jesse, Spencer, Gabriel, Wyatt, Zach, Haley, and Katelyn; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit the funeral home on Monday, June 24, 2024, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. Mike Campbell officiating. The interment will be in Sandhill Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Spencer Tubbs, Kevin Williams, Wyatt Honey, Brandon Douglas, Gabriel Tubbs, and Zach Honey. Honorary pallbearers are Roger Honey and Steven Turner.
