First Community Bank has announced the promotion of Danita High (pictured) to senior vice president, culture & employee development.

“With over 25 years of experience in the banking industry, High has been an invaluable asset to the bank, bringing a wealth of expertise and a deep passion for fostering employee growth and development,” the bank said in a release announcing High’s promotion.

The release said High’s diverse background includes support roles in the institution’s trust and wealth management department, leadership roles in women’s ministry programs at both local and national levels, as well as significant contributions to various nonprofits.

After decades of providing spiritual counsel and encouragement, High pursued and achieved certification as a life coach, allowing her to bring a unique perspective to her most recent role at First Community Bank.

“I am honored to receive this promotion, and I am excited to continue supporting our team members in their personal and professional growth,” High said in the release. “I am passionate about helping our employees discover their inherent value and embrace a fulfilling journey through life.”

Boris Dover, president and chief operations officer for First Community Bank, praised High’s dedication and vision.

“Danita has been instrumental in shaping our culture and employee development initiatives,” said Dover. “Her commitment to helping others and her leadership skills make her a perfect fit for this expanded role. We are excited to see her continue to make a significant impact.”

High and her husband, John, have been married for 29 years and have four children. She enjoys spending time with her family and church, blogging, and guest speaking engagements in her free time.
