James ”Jerry” Brewer, 83, of Calico Rock, Arkansas, left this world on June 24, 2024, and awoke in the arms of his Savior. He was born March 20, 1941, to the late Oris and Hester (Huckabee) Brewer.
Jerry was an outdoorsman; he loved hunting, fishing, camping, four-wheelers, horseback and motorcycle riding. But his great love was spending time with the family that he adored. James and Bonnie married on December 31, 1993. Jerry supported his family as a truck driver for thirty years and for ten years he served as a First Sergeant for the Mississippi County Police Department until he retired. Jerry loved the Lord and was of the Baptist faith.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Bonnie Brewer; daughter, Cheri (Chris) Taylor of Decauter , Arkansas, Charlotte (Todd) Henderson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Carrie Brewer of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren, Kennon (Shane) Henderson of Washington D.C., Hana Henderson of Glasgow, Scotland, Amber Russo of Jacksboro, Tennessee, Mandy McDaniel of Mountain View, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Detrick Hallman of Mountain View, Arkansas, Tyler Hallman or Bayville, New Jersey, Lexi Russo of Jacksboro, Tennessee, Aaron Brewer of Little Rock, Arkansas, Jacob McDaniel of Mountain View, Arkansas, Willow McDaniel of Mountain View, Arkansas; great-great grandson, Enzo Grey Davis of Cookeville, TN.; bonus daughter, Sherry (Mike) Hicks of Dolph, Arkansas, Maricia (Jim) Stapleton of Calico Rock, Arkansas; bonus grandchildren, Devin (Jessie) Hicks of Dolph, Arkansas, Matt Hicks of Dolph, Arkansas, Mason Sons of Calico Rock, Daniel Coy of Calico Rock, Arkansas, Danielle Stapleton of Calico Rock; bonus great-grandchildren, Marley Taylor of Calico Rock, Gracie Hicks, Jase Hicks, Hunter Hicks, Amelia Hicks all of Dolph, Arkansas; sister, Janet Owen Brewer of Mountain View, Arkansas; brother, J.C. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Brown and Sharon Brewer.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the Roller Crouch Chapel from 6:00-8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at Roller Crouch Chapel at 10:00 AM with Sisters, Donna Franks and Gail Jason officiating.
Interment is at Levisy Flat, Mountain View, Arkansas
