Incarcerated Ash Flat man accused of additional rape charges

A 65-year-old Ash Flat man already incarcerated on rape charges is now facing six new charges of rape involving a minor.

According to Terry Leroy Long’s arrest affidavit, a 12-year-old minor told police the incidents occurred in a wooded area when Long would take the child fishing at Mammoth Spring State Park during the spring of 2022.

In addition to the six new counts, Terry Leroy Long (pictured) is also facing four counts of rape and one count of distributing, possessing, or viewing matter depicting sexual conduct involving a child.

He’s being held in the Sharp County Jail on bonds totaling over $3.6 million.
