Alfred Matthew Bennett, 87, of Spring Mill passed away Monday, July 15, 2024, in Batesville. He was born February 6, 1937, in Tennessee to William Harris Bennett and Rose Bennett.
He was a carpenter. He enjoyed repairing and fixing up bikes, fishing, yard sales, going to auctions, and hunting.
His parents preceded him in death; one son, Alfred Mathhew Bennett Jr; two sisters, Juanita and Grace; and his wife Tressie Bennett.
Survivors include his girlfriend Mildred Middleton, two sons, Brian Bennett and William Bennett, both of Mishawaka, Indiana; one daughter, Pam Hahaj of Nappanee, Indiana; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service chapel.
