Mountains, Music and Motorcycles scheduled for Aug. 16-18 in Mountain View

Mountain View is gearing up for the 20th anniversary of the Mountains, Music, and Motorcycles festival, which will be held on the town square from Aug. 16 to 18. The event brings together motorcycle enthusiasts and music lovers for a weekend of entertainment, games, and contests.

According to a release from the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce, Mountain, Music and Motorcycles promises to be “an action-packed weekend full of entertainment, excitement, and community spirit.” Attendees will enjoy various activities and events such as “live music will fill the air as bands perform all day on both Friday and Saturday, providing the perfect soundtrack to this vibrant celebration.”

Highlights of this year’s festival include:

  • Poker Run: Participants can test their luck and riding skills in this thrilling event.
  • Stunt Show: Stunts and tricks performed by professional riders.
  • Biker Games and Trike Games: Participate in or watch a series of fun and competitive games, including the Slow Ride, The Plank, and Barrel Push.
  • Beard Contest: Participants will show off their best beard and compete for the top spot.
  • Pepper Eating Contest: See who can handle the heat in this spicy challenge.
  • Loudest Pipes Contest: Hear the roar of the loudest motorcycles around.
  • Mini Trike Races: Cheer on the competitors in these fun races.
  • Bike Show: Marvel at the stunning motorcycles on display.
  • Bikers Church: A special service on Sunday morning.

 

New this year, the festival will feature a cooling station at the Pickin’ Park to help attendees beat the summer heat. Additionally, various vendors and food trucks will be on-site, offering a wide range of products and food.

“Mountains, Music and Motorcycles has always been a cornerstone event for our community,” said Amy Turpin, organizer of the festival. “We are thrilled to celebrate its 20th anniversary with more events and activities than ever before.
