Obituary: Gail Francine (Huey) Bellinger

Gail Francine (Huey) Bellinger, 83, of Newport departed this life on Friday, July 26, 2024.  She was born on November 3, 1940, in Fort Riley, Kansas to Herschel T. and Mildred Ann (Forrest) Huey.

Gail was a dedicated member of the Holden Avenue Church of Christ, where she served as secretary for many years. She had a passion for baking cakes, cross-stitching, and various crafts, bringing joy and creativity to those around her. Gail was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who cherished her family and the time spent together. Her warmth, generosity, and devotion to her loved ones and church community will be deeply missed. Gail’s legacy of love and creativity will continue to inspire all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Amy Gayle Bellinger; and her sisters, Gloria Moss and Vera Langston.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Rusty Bellinger; their son, Brent Taylor Bellinger (Tina) of St. George, Utah; her grandchildren, Morgan Bird (Matthew) of Batesville, Alex Nicholson (Sarah) of Newport, Lauren Bellinger of Ohio, and Ryan Bellinger of Ohio; Her great-grandchildren, Masyn Crews of Batesville, and Estlee Bird of Batesville; her sisters, Shirley Swink of Newport and Betty Copeland of Lawton, Oklahoma; her nephew, Mike Langston (Christine) of Searcy and a host of other nieces, nephews, friends and family.  She is also survived by her fur babies, Brutus and Shadow.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Brent Bellinger, Matthew Bird, Alex Nicholson, Mike Langston, Steve Edwards, Joe Copeland, Nathan Copeland, and David Hampton.

Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel.  The interment will be at Carter Cemetery.
