Obituary: Alfred Hiram O’Guin

Alfred Hiram O’Guin, 85, of Bradford departed this life on Saturday, July 27, 2024. He was born on March 29, 1939, in Portageville, Missouri to William Edward and Dona (Meachum) O’Guin.

Alfred drove a truck for a living and was a dedicated member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. He enjoyed working on old cars, doing ministry work, and mowing his lawn. Alfred also loved traveling, playing cards, and putting puzzles together. One of his favorite pastimes was watching old westerns, especially those featuring John Wayne. Alfred’s passion for classic cars and western movies, along with his dedication to his faith and family, will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, faith, and cherished memories.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wilma O’Guin; his brothers, William Eddie O’Guin, Eugene O’Guin, and Wendel Lynch; his sisters, Lula Bell Rogers, Shirley Trask, and Glenda Faye Hughes.

He is survived by his son, Phillip O’Guin of Bradford; his daughter, Pamela Skinner of Bradford; his sisters, Brenda McElroy (Cleo) of Benton, Missouri, Sue Kelch of Parker, Colorado, and Janice Brewer of Benton, Missouri; his grandchildren, Rebekah Qualls (Spencer) of Jonesboro, Elliana Skinner of Rogers, Elijah Skinner of Judsonia, and his great-grandchild, Teagan Skinner of Judsonia.

Service will be at noon on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Newport.
