Max Morgan, 93, of Mountain View, passed from this world into the arms of his loving Savior on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. He was born to the late James Jackson Morgan and Thelma Ann (Bruden) Morgan, on December 19, 1930, in a small town in Missouri.
Max is a long-time member of Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church in Mountain View, Arkansas. During his past time he enjoyed gardening, and cutting wood, and the last few years he especially enjoyed spending his day with his dog, but nothing compared to the love Max had for his family. He loved his family dearly. While raising his children Max knew the importance of the value of an honest day’s work. He worked hard and his family worked right beside him, Max being the example of an honest and dependable man, someone that his family could be proud of.
Left to cherish his memory is his four sons, Larry Morgan (Virginia) of Mountain View, Arkansas, Jimmy Morgan (Tamera) of Mountain View, Arkansas, Ronnie Morgan (Lynn) of Versailles, Illinois, and Kenny Morgan (Christine) of Temperance, Michigan; three daughters, Rhonda Clark of Rushville, Illinois, Peggy Hendrick (Jim) of Timewell, Illinois, Tammy Hapke (Jason) of Maywood, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren with one on the way; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Max is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Reva May (Farris) Morgan; brothers, Roy Morgan, Ray Morgan, and Leslie Morgan.
Visitation Service for Mr. Max Morgan was held at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 5, 2024. Funeral Services were also held at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 5, 2024. Internment followed at the Elizabeth Cemetery.
Officiating was Brother Matthew Long.
Pallbearers are Ray Morgan, Matt Morgan, Jake Morgan, Corey Morgan, Jared Morgan, Kagen Morgan and Andy Henrick.
Honorary Pallbearers are David Collins and Jim Henrick.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
