A southern Arkansas jeweler is joining the board of directors of Batesville-based Citizens Bank
On Monday, the bank announced James “Toddy” Pitard (pictured) of El Dorado will be added to its board.
Citizens Bank said in a media release that as owner of Murphy-Pitard Jewelers, Lauray’s — the Diamond Center, and Goldstein’s Jewelers, Pitard has established a significant presence in the jewelry industry across Arkansas and Alabama.
“Toddy’s extensive customer service and business leadership experience make him an excellent addition to our board,” said Jeff Teague, chairman and CEO of Citizens Bank. “We are excited to welcome his expertise and eager to see the contributions and lasting impact he’ll have in this role.”
Pitard is actively involved in the community, serving on the board of directors for the Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce, as treasurer and secretary of the El Dorado Works Board, and as chairman of the El Dorado Civil Service Commission.
“It is a privilege to be a part of the team behind Citizens Bank,” Pitard said. “Throughout my career, I’ve always been drawn to organizations that focus on customer needs. The bank’s dedication to community support and its ‘People First’ mission resonates with me.”
Pitard joins a group of directors at Citizens Bank, becoming the eighth member of a board that includes Chairman and CEO Jeff Teague, Vernon Scott, Jay Shell, Kay Southerland, Mark Forbis, Russ Harrington and T.J. Lefler.
