Barbara Lucille (Willard) Williams, 74, of Tuckerman passed from this life on August 5, 2024. She was born March 10, 1950, in Harrisburg to Bradford and Willine (Lively) Willard.
Barbara was a member of Jesus is Lord Worship Center. She loved animals, especially her dogs. She had an adoration for children and ran her home-based daycare for years, taking care of a great number of children in the community. Barbara had a passion for nurturing and was known for her warm and loving nature. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, always making sure those around her felt cherished and valued. She was a beloved sister, aunt, and friend to many, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and love that touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Mary Green and Betty Pierce; and her husband, L.G. Williams.
She is survived by her sisters, Mae Adeline Wilson (Ruben) of Tuckerman, Debra Mitchell of Newport, Carol Scudder of Belzoni, Mississippi, and Brenda Bruce of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; her brothers, Bradford Willard (Mary) of Yazoo, Mississippi, James Willard of Newport, Wayne Willard of Parchman, Mississippi, Gary Willard of Belzoni, Mississippi, and Michael Willard (Rhonda) of Newark; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Randle Willard, Charlie Willard, Nathan Wilson, Phillip Wilson, Trakis Willard, and Doug Wilson.
Service will be at 11:00 on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Leon Tidwell officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 until service time. Interment at Ballew’s Chapel Cemetery.
