The 11th Annual Citizens Bank Pioneer Invitational Tournament was held Tuesday, Aug 6, at The Course at Eagle Mountain in Batesville.
Batesville School District’s Coach Brian Krug and Citizens Bank partner on this event each year and invite surrounding school districts to participate. Batesville finished fifth out of nine teams with a score of 359. Batesville’s Gareth Brookshire shot a 76.
Despite hot temperatures, the school district said attendance was “great.”
The winners of this year’s event are as follows:
Boys Team Champion: Greene County Tech
Boys Team Runner-Up: Palestine Wheatley
Girls Team Champion: Greene County Tech
Girls Team Runner-Up: Manila
Boys Medalist: Gareth Brookshire of Batesville
Girls Medalist: Liza McIlvoy of Greene County Tech
