Authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing Mountain View man.

According to Stone County Sheriff Brandon Long, Lesley Earl Sutterfield (pictured), 55, was reported missing on Thursday morning, Aug. 15, by his family. He was last seen at his residence on Iron Mountain Road, just outside of Mountain View.

Sutterfield is described as a 6-foot-2-inch male weighing approximately 162 pounds with red hair and blue eyes. He was last seen on foot wearing blue jeans, a t-shirt of unknown color, and Twisted X cowboy boots.

The Stone County Sheriff’s Office initiated a search upon receiving the missing person report. Ground crews, including K-9 units, and multiple fire departments have combed the area. A drone was also deployed in the search. An aerial search utilizing a helicopter is currently being coordinated.

Sutterfield did not have his phone with him when he disappeared, but authorities believe he may have medications in his possession. He has no known medical conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.

Anyone with information about Sutterfield’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Stone County Sheriff’s Office at (870) 269-3825.
