Ruby Fay Franks, 94, of Batesville, passed away on August 17, 2024. She was born on August 11, 1930 in Clarksville, Texas to Joseph Earl Jones and Evie Mae James Jones.

She was a dedicated, strong willed, do it her way, kind of person who loved her family very much. She worked at the University of Arkansas Experiment Station as a secretary for 50 years, that being the only job she ever had. After retirement, she volunteered at White River Medical Center a few years. She was a member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church, enjoyed gardening, yard work, crocheting, and was a very good cook.

She is survived by nephews Sammy Jones (Phyllis) of Batesville; Danny Jones (Terri) of Arlington, Tennessee, and four generations of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Franks; 2 sons, James Ray Davis and Larry Jones Davis; and a brother, Archie L. Jones.

Graveside services will be Saturday, August 24, 2024,at 11:00a.m. at Barnes Cemetery, with Nick Daniel officiating.

Pallbearers are Jeremy McKenley, Chuck Yarbro, Sean Gillean, Mike Brown, Channing Jones, and Haven Jones. Honorary Pallbearer is Micah Weaver.
