Obituary: Bobby A. Younger

Bobby A. Younger, 82, of Southside, Arkansas passed away August 18, 2024.

He was born October 9, 1941 in Pleasant Grove, Arkansas to Marcus A. Younger and Jewell (Canady) Younger.

Bobby was a friendly and quiet man who was always waving and smiling. He was a member of the Harrison Street Church of Christ and worked for White Rogers for 38 years. Bobby was gentle and laid back. He gave nicknames to everybody and enjoyed sitting on the porch waving hi to passersby, hunting, fishing, and going camping. He loved to go to Branson and hang out on his property in Pleasant Grove where he grew up and was a big music fan of Waylon Jennings.

Survivors include his wife, Cathern (Ritter) Younger of the home; three sons, Bobby Lee Younger of Bigelow, Ricky Lynn Younger of Cushman, and Scotty Lance Younger of Southside; two step-daughters, Tammy Wilson of Newark; Teresa Bristow (Kevin) of Cave City; two sisters, Gloria Vickers of Ozone, and Patsy Rawlings of Batesville; one grandchild, Maranda Cooper (Ludovic); ten step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, LC Cooper, Michael, Brylee, Elizabeth, and Wesley, and four step-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Sharon Kay Younger; one step-son, Donny Jackson; three sisters, Shirley Wood, Susie Searcy, Linda Younger; one infant brother, and a son-in-law, Mark Wilson.

Pallbearers are Ludovic Cooper, Kevin Bristow, Marcus Rawlings, Justin Ramos, Tyler Hall, and Cody Wilson.

Graveside services will be held at Egner Cemetery in Salado Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 10:00am under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Steve Smith officiating.
