A Locust Grove man died after a one-vehicle accident in Independence County.
According to a preliminary fatality report from the Arkansas State Police, Marshal Reed, 23, was driving a 2001 Kawasaki west on Punch Lane when it left the roadway on the right, struck a ditch, and overturned. Reed was thrown from the Kawasaki. He was taken to White River Health in Batesville, where he died from his injuries.
The accident occurred on Saturday at 10:45 p.m. under clear skies with dry road conditions, according to the report.
