Mearl L. ”Sissy” (Clark) Hogans, 92, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024, Sissy passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her home. She was born on September 3, 1931, in Woodrow, Arkansas to the late Leonard L. and Tinnie (Prince) Clark. Sissy was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker/caregiver. She enjoyed farming, gardening, fishing, playing cards, and cooking. Sissy will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
She is survived by her sister, Deane Clark Morris and husband Jack; sons, Donald Ray Hogans and Noble Weatherford; one daughter, Sandra Kay Posey and husband, Mel; sister-in-law, Thelma Clark; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends; and her faithful dog who was her special companion, Jack.
Sissy is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard L. and Tinnie (Prince) Clark; husband, JW Hogans; five brothers, Ray Clark, Harley Clark, Floyd Clark, Elvie Clark and Vearl ”Sam” Clark; one sister, Evelyn Morton; sons, Vearl DeLoyd Hogans, Truman Lee Hogans, and Dan Wesley Hogans.
Visitation is Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services are Friday, August 23, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas with Brother Tim Clark and Jack B. Morris, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow the service at Lancaster Verser Cemetery in Woodrow, Arkansas, Cleburne County.
Pallbearers are Lonnie Clark, Preston Clark, Drake Petersen, Casey Morris, Aaron Baldridge and Rusty Clark.
