The Independence County Library will host a presentation on General Child Abuse Awareness on Friday, Sept. 6, 2024, at 2 p.m. in the Janis M. Walmsley Meeting Room.

According to a release from the library, the session will cover the diverse types of child abuse, potential indicators to recognize each type, and essential steps to take if a child discloses abuse.

Strother will provide attendees with knowledge on how to manage disclosures of abuse and how to report suspected or confirmed child abuse effectively.
