A local car dealership will honor 15 area educators at an upcoming awards reception.
According to a release from Stanley Wood Chevrolet, the teachers will receive a certificate and a $500 award. These educators applied and were chosen by a panel of representatives from their respective school districts: Batesville, Cave City, Midland, Concord, Cedar Ridge, and Southside.
The award ceremony will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 4 p.m., at the Stanley Wood Chevrolet dealership, 1674 Batesville Blvd.
Scott Wood and Phil Brissey of Stanley Wood Chevrolet will present the $500 checks to the honored educators.
The awards aim to support teachers in creating a richer learning environment and experience for their students, the release said.
