Michael “Festus” Shane Clark, 50, of Mountain View, Arkansas, passed away September 12th, 2024, in a logging accident. He was born October 22nd, 1973, in Heber Springs, Arkansas to L.W. Clark and Virginia Rorie Wood.
Festus was loved and appreciated by many people. He loved to play cards and grow a garden, trucking, and logging. However, his passion was his kids and grandkids, whom he loved greatly.
He was preceded in death by his father, L.W. Clark; step-father, Jim Wood; grandparents, Ray and Myree Clark and Ralph and Pauline Rorie.
Left to cherish his memory are his two children, Alexia (Heath) Spooner and Derrick (Nikki) Clark; two grandchildren, Connor Spooner and Ragen Spooner; mother, Virginia Wood; two brothers, Roger (Tina) Thomas and Johnny (Prissy) Thomas; one step-sister, Rhondia Zigler; nieces and nephews, Candice Thomas, Cody Thomas, Zac Thomas, Josh Zigler, and Scooter.
A visitation will be held Monday, September 16th, 2024, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, at the Mountain View Funeral Service Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am, with Brother Tim Clark officiating. Interment will take place at Jones Bottom Cemetery, in Guion, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Derrick Clark, Jason Younger, Charlie Younger, Joda Younger, Rickey Turner, and Rusty Clark.
Honorary Pallbearers are Wayne Davis, Randy Rorie, Tom Younger, Rickey Canard, and Daniel Younger.
Arrangements are entrusted to Mountain View Funeral Service.
