The Southside Southerners extended their perfect start to 3-0 with a decisive 31-7 victory over the Batesville Pioneers in the Battle of the Bridge on Friday night.

The game, held at the packed Stewart Field, saw the Pioneers take an early lead, scoring on their opening drive to go up 7-0. However, the Southerners responded, scoring two touchdowns before halftime to take a 14-7 lead into the break.

The second half belonged entirely to Southside. They controlled both sides of the ball adding 17 unanswered points to secure a commanding 31-7 win.

Southerner Cam Foree was a standout in the game, earning the Fat Head Pizza Player of the Game honors for his performance on both sides of the ball.
