Mrs. Hazel V. Brecheen, 78, departed this life Sunday September 15, 2024 at her home in Concord, Arkansas. She was born in Harrisburg, Arkansas on December 8, 1946 the daughter of Delton and Dorothy (McCracken) Morris and they have preceded her in death. She was also preceded by two daughters: Denice and Angelia Brecheen, three brothers: Leslie Barker, Jeff Morris, and Delton (Bud) Morris Jr, three sisters: Maxine Parker, Brenda Brown, and Amelia Morris. Hazel was a rural mail carrier and of the Southern Baptist faith. She enjoyed fishing, collected cigarette lighters, and cups (last count was in the thousands). Hazel is survived by one daughter, Mary Dorothy Robertson of Batesville, Arkansas, two sisters: Portia Taylor and Holly Sutherland both of Concord, four grandchildren: Michael Skinner, Nicholas Chastain, Dylan Chastain, and Shannon Skinner, and 17 great-grandchildren. Cremation has been chosen as final disposition. We will announce a Memorial Service when the family makes these arrangements. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home.
