Deborah Diana Powell Luker, 71, of Southside, departed this life on Thursday, September 19, 2024. She was born on February 3, 1953, in Morrilton, Arkansas to James annd Melba J. Bostian Hoskinson.
Deborah (Debbie) worked in the accounting department at Citizens Bank for several years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Batesville.
Debbie was very creative and an amazing designer. She could envision the layout of a home and be instrumental in bringing that vision to reality. She loved her flowers and being able to landscape her lawn beautifully. She will be remembered as a wonderful cook who enjoyed her family and loved them dearly.
One of Debbie’s most treasured pets was a parakeet named “Buddy”. She would sing to him and he would sing back to her and was known to be most talkative. She also had her dogs, Mitzi and Roxie, as faithful companions.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Eddie, and his wife, Renotta, of Morrilton, and Brian, and his wife, Connie, of Evening Shade; her grandchildren, Brayden and Abigail Luker.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Marvin and Bruce Powell.
