John Paul Raines, 83, departed this life Monday, September 16, 2024, at his home in Weiner. He was born in Petit Jean Mountain, Arkansas on April 12, 1941, his parents were Noah Washington and Estella Raines. His parents have preceded him in death and one son, Timmy Raines, three brothers: Bud Raines, Jim Raines, and Bill Raines, and two sisters: Mary Griggs and Jean Rosamond. John was a farmer and of the Baptist faith. John also served in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed fishing, and spending time with family and friends. John is survived by his wife, Mildred Louetta (Hamilton) Raines. They were married on August 15, 1964, making this sixty years of marriage they have enjoyed. He is also survived by one son, David Raines of Weiner. Visitation will be Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Jackson’s Funeral Home from 12:30 for the family until Service time and friends will visit from 1:00 until Service. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Jeff Miles conducting the service. The family has chosen Cremation as the final disposition. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home.
