Obituary: Paul Harvey Savage

Paul Harvey Savage of Sulphur Rock, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at the age of 95. He was born May 3, 1929, in Macon, Georgia, the son of Jack DuMont and Georgia Whipple (Stevens) Savage.
Mr. Savage was a graduate of Bristol High School in Indiana. He was a self-employed dairy farmer for years. He then worked at White Rodgers for fifteen years as a truck driver. His hobbies included watching Westerns, his favorite was Gunsmoke. His greatest love was his family, he truly enjoyed spending time with them. He was a deacon at Center Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife Loa Louise (Schlarb) Savage; one son, Jack Harvey Savage; one sister, Virginia Lee Thornton; and his parents.
Mr. Savage is survived by one daughter, Jean Heath of Sulphur Rock; six grandchildren, Melanie Haskell-Carnahan, Angelia Heath, Virginia Patterson, Paul Savage, Chelsea Savage, and Heather Yeager; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and a lifetime of friends,
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Center Grove Cemetery, with Brother Barry Anderson officiating. No public visitation will be held.
