Winston Dennis Shelton Boyd, 81, of Poughkeepsie passed away on September 25, 2024, in Nelsonville. He was born July 17, 1943, in Alicia to Velma Boyd and Gene Shelton, and proudly raised by Earnest Lee Boyd.
He was a riverboat operator/pilot and a member of the Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed CB radios, fishing, and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sarah Ann Boyd in September 2005; one son, Winston Donald Boyd and three brothers, Bill, Harold and James Boyd.
Survivors include two daughters, Jannie Walker (Shawn) and Sarah Annette Bailey; four brothers, Bernard Boyd (Patricia), Johnny Lee Boyd (Lori), Royce Boyd (Becky), Mike Lee Boyd (Carol); eleven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, September 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel with John High officiating. Burial will follow in the Spotts Cemetery located in Poughkeepsie.

Visitation will begin Monday, September 30, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Tiny Reed, Donald Reed, Steven Boyd, Kenny Boyd, John Medlock, and Angel Burba.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bernard Boyd and Shawn Walker.
