Betty Ann Bonds of Cabot, Arkansas, formerly of Newport, departed this life on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the age of 68. She was born May 5, 1956, in Newport, Arkansas, the daughter of Horace Edward “Ed” and Margretta (McRaynolds) Bonds.
Miss Bonds graduated from Newport High School in 1977 and later earned her associate degree from ASU-Newport. She was a huge Arkansas Razorback fan and especially loved watching the basketball games. Miss Bonds resided at the Spring Creek Nursing Home, where she knew everyone by name. She enjoyed playing games with the other residents, with Bingo being her favorite. Miss Bonds cherished spending time with her family and she held a special place in each of their hearts.
She was preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Marsha (Scott) Bonds, one brother-in-law, Henry Clampit; and her parents.
Miss Bonds is survived by three brothers, Eddie Bonds and wife, Sandy, of Conway, Jimmy Bonds and wife, Vicky, of Conway, and Rickey Bonds, and wife, JoAnna, of Cabot; one sister, Brenda Clampit of Cabot; several nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit Jackson’s Funeral Home, on Sunday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 30, at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jeff Warwick officiating. The interment will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Mike Bonds, Silas Lemon, Matt Clampit, Jason Lemon, Jamison Bonds, and Jeremy Bonds.
