Clarence Eugene Treat, 74, of Fifty-Six, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, September 26th, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 7th, 1950, in Lake City, Arkansas, to Asburn and Mildred (Anderson) Treat.
Clarence attended Round Mountain Community Church in Big Flat, Arkansas where he was a faithful and steadfast servant of the Lord. His walk with God and helping his community were very important aspects of his life. He lived in Forrest City, Arkansas for fifty years where he raised his family and volunteered at the prison and local church outreach programs. He liked to watch westerns, have a sweet treat, and love history, but spending time with family was his greatest joy. Clarence was known for being humble, loyal, patient, God-fearing, and having a sense of humor. He was loved and respected by many and will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 52 wonderful years, Marilyn (Balentine) Treat of Fifty-Six, Arkansas; one daughter, Brittney (Treat) Langhorn of Fort Smith, Arkansas; seven siblings, Myrle (Treat) Hyslip, Lillie (Treat) Ramsey, Larry Treat, Ricky Treat, Clayton Treat, Tina (Treat) Traylor, Nancy (Treat) Jayroe, and many family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Asburn and Mildred Treat; two brothers, Asburn Treat Jr., J.C. Treat; two sisters, Mary Lynn (Treat) Ramsey, and Janice Marie Treat
A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 1st, 2024, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, at the Round Mountain Community Church, in Big Flat, Arkansas. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Brother Larry Treat officiating. Interment will take place at the Balentine Family Cemetery, in Fifty-Six, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are John Balentine, Justin Balentine, Darrell Ramsey, Jeff Ramsey, Tony Chadwick, and William Balentine.
Honorary Pallbearers are Bill Swearenginer and Jonathan Kennedy.
Arrangements are entrusted to Mountain View Funeral Service.
