The vibrant spirit of Hispanic culture returns to Batesville with the 2nd annual AmigoFest, which will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, from 3 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Lyon College.

According to organizers, AmigoFest “…is a day filled with fun, food, music, and cultural activities designed to highlight the contributions and rich heritage of our Hispanic community. From live performances to delicious Latin American cuisine, interactive exhibits, and family-friendly activities, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.”

Bill Oliva, an AmigoFest board member, emphasized supporting this event.

“AmigoFest is not just a celebration; it’s an opportunity to recognize and uplift our Hispanic community. By supporting events like this, we show that Batesville values diversity and is committed to being an inclusive place where all cultures are embraced.”

Brenda Rivera, an AmigoFest board member, also shared the festival’s importance.

“AmigoFest is about bringing people together. We had over 2,300 people who came to celebrate last year and hope to have even more this year. It’s a chance for everyone to experience the beauty and vibrancy of Hispanic culture while strengthening our community bonds. Supporting this event means supporting unity, understanding, and the rich cultural diversity that makes Batesville unique.”

The event is free and open to all. For more details on AmigoFest, visit the new website, AmigoFest.org.
