Ozarka College Foundation Golf Tournament sets record

Thirty-six teams signed up for at the annual Ozarka College Foundation Golf Tournament on Oct. 3, 2024, setting a record high field of play for the fundraiser.

The four-person scramble took place at Cooper’s Hawk Golf Course in Melbourne, and all proceeds will benefit the students of Ozarka College.

First place in the Championship Flight went to the Izard County Abstract team represented by Kohl Caraway, Brad Lamb, Jeremy Burns, and Jessie Jenkins. Danny Moser won the putting contest, receiving a golf club donated by Jim Cooper and Fred Holzhauer, Ozarka College Trustee, won the 75/25 Cash Raffle, a benefit for the Danny Graham Memorial Scholarship. Holzhauer generously donated his portion of the proceeds back to the scholarship fund.

Rusty Campbell of Campbell’s Auto Sales and Bad Boy Mowers also donated a Bad Boy Magnum 54” zero-turn mower for an Ozarka Foundation raffle, with the winner to be announced at the annual gala this spring.
