What’s being billed as “the biggest auction ever at John 3:16 Ministries” will be part of Community Fest 2024 on Saturday, Oct. 19.

The John 3:16 Praise and Worship band, concessions, and bouncy houses are just a few more of the things planned for Community Fest 2024, which will be held at the ministry, located at 75 Holmes Road in Charlotte, just off Highway 25/White Drive.

Admission to Community Fest 2024 is free and open to the public.

Gates open at 1 p.m., and festivities will start at 1:30 p.m. with a live auction featuring over 200 items, including more than 40 cars and boats, tractors, generators, motorcycles, four-wheelers, side-by-side utility vehicles, campers, trailers, air compressors, and more.

“We are excited about this auction – it’s probably the largest one we’ve ever done,” John 3:16 Ministries Instructor Jason Page said. “There will be something for everyone at this auction.”

Among the highlights will be a 2000 model orange Harley-Davidson custom chopper with a 118cc motor.

“This is a one-of-a-kind item, and we can’t wait to see the excitement for this specialty item,” Page said.

There will also be a fully restored 1961 VW Ragtop Beetle, an 18-foot, fully serviced 2008 Nitro Bass Boat with a 60-horsepower motor, and a 1988 Humvee military-grade with a diesel engine.

The event will also include a giveaway of a zero-turn mower donated by R & R Farm Equipment, with an estimated value of $5,500. Raffle tickets are $10 each and may be purchased by calling John 3:16 at (870) 799-2525 or Instructor Brent Waugh at (870) 834-9308.

“We look forward to having everyone come out and enjoy our fall all-day festival while lifting up the name of Jesus Christ by bringing together community and family,” said John 3:16 Director Bryan Tuggle.

John 3:16 is a spiritual-based boot camp for women and men with drug and alcohol addictions. The residents are not charged for their stay, as the ministry is primarily funded by donations and fundraisers.

For 20 years, John 3:16 has been helping men, and now women, conquer their drug and alcohol addictions at no cost to them. From day 1 when someone asks how much it will cost for their loved one to attend, Tuggle has always explained, “Jesus Christ already paid the price.”
