Gerald Lester Lewis, 79, of Charlotte passed away Friday, October 4, 2024.
He was born November 13, 1944, in Batesville, Arkansas to Clifford Lewis and Lola Jewel Smith Lewis.
Gerald retired from Walmart after 23 years. He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening with his best friend, Bobby Weaver.
Survivors include his brothers, Ben Lewis (Dude), Jimmy Lewis (Milli), Mickey Lewis (Sue), and Dennis Lewis (Marsha); sister, Maxine Fuller (Billy); other survivors include Debbie McCluskey (Billy), Shallen Hughes (Jeremy), Bentley and Lyla Beth Hughes, and sister-in-law, Mary Butler; fifteen nephews, nine nieces, 17 great-nephews, and 16 great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara Butler Lewis; sisters, Jean Varnell and Carole Lee; twin brother, Earl Lewis; other brothers, Robert Lewis, Paul Lewis, and Harry Lewis; three nephews; and one niece.
Graveside services will begin at 2:00 pm Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville with Jonathan Franco officiating.
