Investigation underway after truck crashes near bottom of Greers Ferry Dam

Authorities are investigating a motor vehicle accident on Sunday morning at the JFK Park Overlook and Memorial on Highway 25, near the Greers Ferry Dam.

According to Cleburne County Sheriff Chris Brown, a vehicle went through a fence at the overlook and came to rest near the bottom of the dam on the east side of the Little Red River. Brown told Little Rock television outlet KARK that the vehicle was a pick-up truck.

No further details have been released regarding the driver’s condition or any potential passengers.

The sheriff’s office said the crash was under investigation and more information would be released at a later time.
