Obituary: Virgil Moser, Jr.

Virgil Moser, Jr. 78, of Batesville, departed this life on Thursday, October 10, 2024. He was born in Lepanto, Arkansas, on August 3, 1946, to Virgil Moser, Sr. and Wilma Jane Steele Moser.

He was a heavy equipment operator and truck driver during his working years.  He served our country faithfully in the Army from 1965 until 1967. He was a member of White Drive Baptist Church.

Virgil married the love of his life, Marilyn Hudson, on October 22, 1966, in Vimy Ridge, Arkansas, and they enjoyed over fifty-seven years of marriage.

Virgil was a godly man who loved his family dearly.  He was a good father with much compassion and forgiveness. At times he might seem stern, but loved fairly with all of his heart

Left to cherish his memory, is his loving wife Marilyn, of the home;  his sons, Paul Moser, of Batesville, Edward (Rebecca) Moser, of Bauxite, and Robert (Kathryn) Moser, of Batesville; his daughter, Melanie (Charlie) Brown, of Searcy; his brothers, Charles Moser and Earl (Shari) Moser, both of Batesville; his sister, Wilma Ruth (Weldon) Jones, of Batesville: his grandchildren, Thomas Moser, Tiffany Thacker, Wesley Moser, Taylon Moser, Evan Moser, Bryonna Anderson, Brianna Moore, Zoe Brown, Gage Brown, Dalia Brown, Atrian Brown, and Caleb Brown; seven great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Harmony Cotten.

A Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the White Drive Baptist Church with Bro. Taylor Gillaspie officiating.

Pallbearers will be Evan Moser, Welsey Moser, and Charles Moser

Burial will follow the service in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Cushman, Arkansas.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and continuing until service time.
