“We couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome of this fall’s Career Expo,” said Patrick Lynch, director of the Center for Career and Professional Development. “The record attendance shows the enthusiasm and dedication of our students and community members, and the engagement from employers reflects the high demand for the talent we have here at Lyon College. It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone involved to make meaningful connections that could shape their futures.”

The Career Expo, open to all students, alumni and community members, encouraged attendees to come prepared by updating resumes and LinkedIn profiles, wearing professional attire and practicing their elevator pitches. The Center for Career and Professional Development offers year-round support for students in job placement and career preparation, including one-on-one training in resume writing and interview techniques.

The event’s turnout, accounting for 58 percent of Lyon College’s student population, set a new record in attendance for the Career Expo. Exhibitors praised the level of engagement from both students and faculty, the college said in the release.
