Loyd Neil Waters Jr., 56, of Batesville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. He was born September 22, 1968, in Batesville, AR, to Loyd Neil Waters Sr. and Donna ‘Engles’ Waters (Dupree). Loyd Jr. was an energetic and giving man who loved his son, family, and friends. Loyd loved to sing and had a great love for country, classic rock, and gospel music. He faithfully listened to the Rise Up and Shine radio broadcast. Loyd treated everyone he met “As Family.” All were his brothers and sisters In Christ. He always had Big Hugs for Everyone. Loyd was very rooted and grounded in his faith in God. He lived by these two verses daily:
“Honor your Father and your Mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God has given you.”
Exodus 20:12
“and He has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also Love their Brother and Sister”
1 John 4:21
Loyd was a loving father, son, brother, nephew, and friend whose memory will forever be cherished by those who loved him.
Loyd is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, WH Waters and Emma Herzig; his maternal grandparents, John Raymond Engles and Jane Treadway; and his aunt, Pam Tate.
Left to cherish his memories include his son Collin Neil Waters (Ashley); his life partner, Donna Anderson; his two stepdaughters, Amber Sneed Brown and Amanda Sneed Kelley; three brothers, Scott Waters, Jimmy Waters, and Christopher Waters; three sisters, Brenda Lindeman (William), Becky Dupree, and Gina Mohlke (Greg); a close-knit of loving family and devoted friends, including his beloved companion and loyal friend, his dog, Diesel
