Obituary: Louis Robbins

Louis Robbins, 90, of Batesville, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

She was born April 27, 1934, in Lepanto, Arkansas to Will and Sadie (Swafford) Skinner.

Louise received her GED and went on to attend Gateway Vo-tech. She was a homemaker who stayed home to raise her daughter and worked for Kelley’s as a maid, for Wood Lawn Nursing Home as a nurse’s aide and the Melba Theater as the manager. She was a Pentecostal woman who loved her daughter, homemade picture frames and murals of her family and favorite scenes that currently cover the walls of her home.

Louise loved the holidays, especially Christmas and Thanksgiving because they always brought the family together. Louise was creative, intuitive, loving and always had a way of saying things with just one look. She loved to watch and listen to Jimmy Swaggert and enjoyed art, drawing, sewing, gardening and her family.

Survivors include one daughter, Dianne Marlin; two grandchildren, Stacey Bunch, and Tonya Thomson; six great-grandchildren, Shawn Bunch, Mollie Castro, Darrian Loven, Kaytlin Rosson, Hayden Davis, Colby Harper and three great-great-grandchildren, Able Gandy, Leann Castro and Allen Castro.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Robbins; parents; one brother, Emmet Skinner and best friend, G.W. Worthen.

Pallbearers are Eldon Skinner, Shawn Bunch, Darrian Loven, Hayden Davis, Randy Harper and Kaytlin Rosson. Honorary pallbearers are Bob Thomson, Mark Kostas, Earnest Younger and Mary and Woody Wood.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 28, 2024, at 3:00 pm at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
