Batesville’s bike and pedestrian path on Main Street is ready for Halloween trick-or-treaters.

New streetlights illuminate the path, which begins at the Bank of Cave City at 12th and Main streets and continues down to 5th Street. Construction began in early July, and work was completed ahead of schedule.

The project, which will be a portion of the Batesville Greenway System, is part of the Batesville Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan, which is meant to enhance transportation alternatives.
