Batesville High School Charter marked a milestone in its drone and aviation program with a $5,000 donation from the TOLM Group and the City of Batesville.

The funds are part of a collaboration that allows students to provide pre-construction aerial documentation for a major community project.

Superintendent Dr. Ken James emphasized the educational benefits of the partnership, calling it an “extraordinary hands-on experience that equips our students with real-world skills while connecting their passions with community service.”

The TOLM Group, engaged in a three-year project in Batesville, expressed enthusiasm for working with the school.

“At TOLM, our mission is to foster strong community ties, and this partnership with Batesville High School Charter is a perfect reflection of that commitment,” said TOLM President Brian Rohlmon. He noted the importance of supporting young talent focused on both skill development and community service.

General Superintendent Robert Thacker praised the students’ professionalism, citing their attention to detail and technical skills in aerial photography.

“The high-quality work that these students have delivered is essential to ensuring the project’s success. Their attention to detail and technical skill in aerial photography has impressed our entire team and will play a vital role in accurately restoring impacted areas,” Thacker said.
