Ray George of Swifton, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, November 1, 2024, at the age of 81. He was born October 20, 1943, in Tuckerman, the son of Kenneth and Rose Pearline (Wheeler) George.
Mr. George attended Tuckerman High School. He was retired from Frito Lay. Mr. George was an avid outdoorsman, who lived to fish and hunt. He will be remembered as being a family man who enjoyed sharing stories and playing with his grandchildren. Mr. George was of the Baptist belief.
He was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Dewayne George; two brothers, Larry and Michael George; and one sister, Wanda Butler.
Mr. George is survived by his wife Mary (Cowell) George; one son, Ryan Thor George and wife Dallas of Jonesboro, Tonya Seats; two sisters, Vickie Thompson and husband, Larry, of Swifton, and Sheila Mross of Weiner; five grandchildren, Katie Wood and husband, Brandon, Addy George, Ace George, Derek George, and Drew George; one great-grandchild, Raiden George, and a lifetime of friends.
Funeral services will be graveside only on Saturday, November 9th 11:00 am at Stranger’s Home Cemetery near Swifton.
