Edith “Edie” Marie Rone, 50, of Batesville entered the gates of Heaven on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024. Edie was born on April 4, 1974, in Batesville, to Charles Rone and the late Elizabeth Moore. Edie was of Christian faith and served the Lord as a devoted member of Maple Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Rosie. Edie’s faith was evident by the way she worshiped and witnessed. She loved to be at church praising God. Her passion was infectious, she lifted everyone’s spirits that she met and she never hesitated to tell them that Jesus was the source of her joy. Edie was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. The only thing she loved as much as God and church was her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and dedication. Edie is a true testament to what it means to break free of your chains and walk in victory through faith in Jesus Christ. She will be dearly missed and forever loved by everyone blessed to know her.
Edie is preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Moore, and her brother, Burros Rone. She is survived by her father, Charles Rone; her son, Chaber Rone; her daughters, Shayla Griffis, and Cherysh Rone; her sisters, Karen Kohr, Kathy Stanley, and Melinda Rone; her beloved grandchildren, Laylee Brooks, Maverick Gilmore, and Hazel Rone; and several extended family members and friends.
