The North Arkansas Dance Theatre (NADT) will mark its 20th anniversary with performances of The Nutcracker at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB). Shows are scheduled for Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 23 at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The production features a cast of more than 100, including NADT company members, community performers, and professional guest artists.

Among the guest performers is Harriet Clark, a former soloist with the Pacific Northwest Ballet and current National Training Curriculum Board Examiner for the American Ballet Theatre. Clark is the sister of NADT Founder and Director Cindy Clark Hubberd.

The Nutcracker tells the story of Clara, who celebrates Christmas Eve with her family and friends, including her godfather, Herr Drosselmeyer, who brings a special gift: a nutcracker. After the festivities, Clara falls asleep and dreams of magical events, including a growing Christmas tree and a battle between the Nutcracker and the Mouse King.

Tickets for the performances will be available at the door. Prices are $15 for adults and $10 for children aged 11 and under. Proceeds will benefit NADT, a nonprofit organization.
