Obituary: Donald “Donnie” Wayne Finley

Donald “Donnie” Wayne Finley, 71, of Turkey Creek, Arkansas passed away Monday, November 18th, 2024, at his beloved home. He was born October 23rd, 1953, to Bullet and Linda (Politte) Finley, in Saginaw, Michigan.

Donnie was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. He was concerned about everyone’s salvation and wanted to make sure everyone knew Jesus. Donnie was a boxing fan but also enjoyed restoring classic cars, fishing, camping, cookouts, telling bible stories to his grandkids, and watching westerns. He also loved his pit bull, Beau. They spent many hours riding the golf cart in the woods. Donnie was loved and appreciated by many people and will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of Fifty-two years, Pattie (Beaver) Finley of the home; three children, Jessica (Harvey) Duran of Brownfield, Texas, Ben (Paige) Finley of Fox, Arkansas, and Jacob (Kaylee) Finley of Batesville, Arkansas; three sisters, Brenda (Bobby) Gilliam of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Lovalene (Larry) Boyd of Brownfield, Texas, and Doris (Rick) Gilley of Mountain View, Arkansas; seventeen grandchildren, Jeremy, Joshua, Jonathon, Brett, Danielle, John, Hunter, Christian, Ethan, Ben IIII, Noah, BrookLynn, Eli, Jaylen, Caedmon, Jenson, and Selah; three great-grandchildren, Paislee, Oaklee, and Baby Boy Duran due in March of 2025.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Bullet and Linda Finley.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 21st, 2024 at the Turkey Creek Cemetery, beginning at 2:30 pm. Brother Harry Rogers will officiate the service.

Pallbearers are Ben Finley, Jacob Finley, Brett Finley, Hunter Finley, and Christian Delgado.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jeremy Duran, Joshua Duran, Jonathon Duran, John Finley, and Caedmon Finley.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Mountain View Funeral Service.
